SUMMARY
1) As part of our One Mission, provide exceptional service to constituents in the Converge church planting family.
2) Assist the Executive Director of Church Planting with all church planting projects, systems, and events, as requested.
3) Maintain accurate data bases, necessary records with a discipline of contacts and calendar.
4) Serve the overall One Mission by specialized duties as follows.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
1. Provides administrative support for the Executive Director of Church Planting.
2. General Administration – Handles and coordinates church planting correspondence, digital communications, phone inquiries, mailings, and management of Church Planter Profile assessment tool. Completes, submits and maintains files for department expense reports. Uses our constituent management software Stratus Live/ CRM in the day to day management of church planting information. Have a working knowledge and exercise use of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and Google applications.
3. Budget – Will assist the director in monitoring the budget updates and expenditures by using our financial software, Microsoft Dynamics Navision.
4. Research – Provides competent research, as needed, to help determine feasibility of projects and systems which impact Converge church planting initiatives.
5. Volunteer and Recruiting Coordination – Coordinates limited administrative/recruiting duties on behalf of volunteers associated with this office.
6. Work with our Assessment Center Team in coordinating Facebook groups, hospitality boxes, and other duties associated with the Assessment Center.
7. Occasional travel to assist in regional trainings or events is required from time to time.
8. Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position may have supervisory responsibilities for designated department volunteers. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, training and empowering volunteers; collaborative planning, assigning, and directing outcomes and objectives; appraising performance; rewarding volunteers; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and have complete familiarity with computer functions. This position may be required to use other software as technology changes. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrates interest and takes initiative to attend learning and job training experiences.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Demonstrates great ability with communication including diplomacy and discernment. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform basic mathematical operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and listen. The ability to travel to destinations across the US as needed for trainings, conferences, and events. Assemble church planting booth and transport boxes of materials weighing up to 40lbs and promotional items from events to shipping facilities. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

This important position demands an outgoing person who is willing to provide exceptional service to all Converge constituents in the Converge church planting family. Administrative assistant experience and knowledge is required. This position would assist the Executive Director of Church Planting with all church planting projects, systems, and events. This includes correspondence, maintaining records, phone inquiries and mailings as well as various other duties. They must be a team player who is willing to work hard in a collaborative way with a small group of equally dedicated people to fulfill the mission of Converge.
